Obituary

MARTIN MIKE MOJARRO, SR, 69, of Rancho Santa Margarita, California passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 in his home peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Los Angeles, CA to David and Lucy Mojarro on August 12, 1947. He was raised with his two brothers and two sisters, David Jr. Robert, Martha and Juanita. Martin graduated a four sport letterman, from Huntington Park High School in 1966. He immediately entered the work force, eventually finding his love of construction, becoming an amazing carpenter that specialized in concrete work.

He married his high school sweetheart, Armida Rodriguez and they started their family young with 4 daughters. Cynthia, Rebecca, Patricia and Armida were all born before he turned the age of 24. Later in his life, he was blessed with their only son Martin Mike Mojarro Jr, who was the final piece to his beautiful family!

Martin was a huge Dodgers and Lakers fan and was very excited when the Rams came back to Los Angeles. His love of sports was only second to his love for his family. He never missed a game, sport or performance that one of his kids or grandkids participated in. He was his family’s biggest fan. As Martin’s last few weeks came upon him, severe pain came as well. The strong pain medications assisted with keeping him comfortable, but the real comfort came from his family. Martin’s love for his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchild kept a beautiful smile on his face to the very end.

Martin is survived by his mother Lucy, sisters Martha and Juanita, wife Armida, daughters Cynthia, Rebecca, Patricia and Armida, son Martin Jr and grandkids Gregory, Jordan, Maaison, Makena, Malia, Savanah and Maverick and great grandson Mateo. His presence will be greatly missed by everyone who got the opportunity to meet him.
