Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Vivian Sears (McMenamy), a loving wife, mother to 8, grandmother to 12 and great-grandmother to 4. She joined our Heavenly Father on June 28, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Martha was born in St. Charles, Missouri on January 24, 1945. She met her soulmate, William (Bill) Sears, while working together at St. Louis University Hospital. They were married for 60 years. During this time, Martha made a significant impact on thousands of families as a nurse, childbirth educator, lactation consultant and co-author of 40 books.

Martha will be deeply missed by her family, friends and anyone blessed by her dedication to help others and make the world a better place for parents and children.
