Mark Harris Patterson, 86, of Lake Forest, California, died May 12, 2017. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.

Mark was born in San Diego, California, and lived his younger years in the Sacramento area. He spent time in the Navy and served during the Korean War.

An avid golfer since 12 years old, Mark enjoyed building, tinkering and fixing just about anything. He loved his gadgets, reading, learning new things, and helping people learn from his experiences. Mark was a people person and thoroughly loved putting a smile on other people's faces.

Mark was proceeded in death by his parents, Ryle Patterson and Nell Dee Brandon, and his sister Bonnie Berkich. He is also survived by his loving wife, Rita Patterson, and his daughters Kelly Patterson and Kathie Sullinger (and her husband Don), and Valeria O'Conner and Victoria Phillips, along with several grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
