Obituary
Dear friends and family,
With heavy hearts, we sadly share the passing of Mark McGowan on Thursday, June 21, 2012. Mark was on his way to meet an old friend when he tragically slipped and fell down a flight of stairs outside his apartment. Although paramedics valiantly tried to save him, his injuries were too great to overcome.
Surrounded by his immediate family, Mark will be laid to rest at Ascension Cemetery located in Lake Forest, CA close to his parents home. Although we are saddened to say goodbye at far too early an age, we take comfort that Mark will forever reside in our hearts as a loving son, brother and uncle with a joyous spirit and kindhearted soul.

Uncle Mark……baseball games, soccer games, school plays, music concerts, graduations, golfing and so much more – always there cheering us on with a smile and encouraging words. We will forever miss him.

Mark and I were great friends when we started school all those years ago. I was glad to have reconnected with him again recently. Thoughts and prayers to your family. An old saying that I have always followed is to cry a little but laugh a lot in remembering him. Mike Gregory ’85
