Mark Dopudja was born on December 26, 1959, in Santa Fe Springs, California. He was a family man whose simple goal in life was to provide for his wife and kids and give them a good life. A mission he carried out throughout his life and even afterwards. A great example is when his kids were young, he would take whatever money he had left from his paycheck to buy his kids gifts, usually a VHS.
He'll be remembered for his love of a good home-cooked meal and the people who made them like his mother's coconut cream pie, his wife's tamales, his sister's potato salad, or the Swiss chard and potatoes he grew up eating. He loved food made by family and shared with family. When his kids became adults and no longer lived with him, he said his favorite thing was when they would come over unannounced and eat some of his wife's leftovers, but he drew the line if those same kids ate all the leftovers.
He was a simple, down-to-earth man who didn't need much. Most days you'd find him in Levis, a t-shirt, and a baseball hat, often saying, "I'm just a meat and potatoes kind of guy".
He had a goofy side that everyone around him knew well. He loved to crack jokes and tease the ones he loved. If he was teasing you, it meant he liked you.
He was an incredibly hard worker. If someone got to the office before him, he'd wake up the next day and get there earlier, so that no one beat him to the office.
He was a well-loved and caring man. Often, he was a father figure to more than just his own children, and made an impact on anyone he regularly interacted with. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Malinda Dopudja; his children, Dominic Dopudja, Nicholas Dopudja, Randall Russell, Victoria Dopudja, and Shelby Dopudja; and his brothers, Joseph Dopudja and Paul Finch as well as all who were blessed to call him uncle, cousin, and friend. May he rest in the peace of our Lord, reunited with those who have gone before him including his sister who recently passed.
