Obituary

Marjorie Vivian Wood Born October 26th , 1917 Died April 4th, 2009.

Our sweet Mom, Grandmother, and Friend passed away happy and at peace this past Saturday morning. She had been a resident of Orange County since 1977 where she retired after a career of teaching grade school in the Walnut Unified School District. Her love and understanding of children was a gift she shared with many, especially her five grandchildren! She attended college in West Virginia where she met her husband of 50+ years, Creed. Together they moved to Pomona California in 1954 where they raised their two sons, Creed and Mike. She has been a proud member of the Baptist church all of her life and she gave much of her time and joy to Grace Hills Church in Laguna Woods. She was a very loving and positive woman who knew no stranger and would always offer a kind word or loving hand to help those in need. Her memories live on in her sons Dr. Creed Wood of Sonoma, and Michael Wood of Laguna Niguel, daughter-in-laws Elene and Andree, grandchildren Christopherdeceased, Jonathon, Catherine Redlitz, Taylor and Sean, and her two great grandchildren, Kathryn and David. She will continue to live on in all of our hearts.

Over the years Marge showed us her loving spirit, time and time again. God bless her, and all the family, that she loved so much.

What a full and amazing life filled with lots of love, family, friends – and many episodes of Jeopardy! Only sweet Marge could get away with taking so many unflattering photos of us all at holiday gatherings. Marge was the best and will be missed by all :
