Obituary
Marjorie Barclay was born in Sioux City, Iowa on 1/31/23; complications from a stroke took her life on 2/28/2012. Marjorie was a daughter, wife, mother, homemaker, nurse, and lifelong friend to many. She was married to James Ziegenbein for 33 years and widowed. Marjorie was a loving and devoted mother to her two children, Dennis Ziegenbein and Nancy Losey.
Her life always seemed to center around the love of children. While her children were in grade school she was president of the Mother’s Club at the Catholic school they attended. After her children were raised she attended college and became an LVN, and worked in the newborn nursery where she cherished holding the babies.
She married Richard Barclay and was married for 18 years, enjoying traveling, entertaining and her family. Marjorie enjoyed painting and many of her family members proudly display her artwork. To combat her loneliness after Richard’s death she became a ballroom dancer, and did it so well she had boxes of trophies. The highlights of her life were her eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren including triplets, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She considered them her treasures and her reason for living. Each and every one had a special place in her heart, and they all thought they were her favorite.
Graveside services will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 6 at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, 7845 Santiago Canyon Rd., Orange, CA 92669.
