Obituary
Marilyn C. Perrigoue passed on quietly in her sleep from complications of dementia in the early morning of November 16th, 2016 in Mission Viejo, CA. Her time here on Earth was at an end, she wanted to go to her reward and be with her loving husband and cherished friends who passed before her. Marilyn lived a long life filled with adventures, joy, family and hope. All who knew her loved her. She made new friends quickly and kept old friends close. Her smile and unyielding hope for a better tomorrow defined her. Her family was the most important and cherished part of her life. She spent her closing years living in the company of her sons and grandchildren and delighted in making them smile. She will be sorely and deeply missed.
Marilyn was born in Binghamton, NY in 1935 to parents William and Mary Coyle. After high school she fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a Registered Nurse, graduating from the nursing program at St. Joseph Hospital in Elmira, NY. Marilyn spent the next 10 years of her life working and traveling the country with her dear friends from nursing school, eventually settling down in Seattle, Washington. There she met the love of her life, S.E. James Perrigoue. After marrying and moving to Southern California, the happy couple brought two sons into the world. Her beloved husband Jim passed on in 1994. Marilyn loved being a nurse, helping others and bringing new life into the world at the women’s operating room at Memorial Medical Hospital in Long Beach, CA. She worked as an RN for 50 years, only partly retiring at 71 when the physical demands became too great. She then moved in with her son Joe & wife Vanessa to be with them as her grandchildren were born. She was active in her church and community, working as always to help others and make the world a better place.
Marilyn is survived by her son Charles Perrigoue, her son Joseph Perrigoue and Daughter-in-law Vanessa Perrigoue, four loving grandchildren, Ella, Allie, James & Liam, her sister Kathy Boyte and brother Ron Coyle.

I treasure the memories of growing up with Marilyn and all the fun we had, staying overnight at her house, We made our First Communion together. We loved all famity times . I remember going to Enjoy Park
on Labor Day – the Coyles, the Hahers and the Careys. We took the bus and it seemed so far, after all we were going to “another city” . I also remembe parties in Aunt Mary’s yard and in Aunt Helena’s yard. I remember all three families going to State Park to picnic and swim. Great days. Most of all I re member how much I loved her. We were cousins but most importantly we were FRIENDS. I will miss her until we meet again. Etrenal rest grant unto her, and let Perpetal Light shine on her.

From what I understand, Marilyn is the reason Kathy and Mary moved to California. Thank you Marilyn!! We feel like family and have had a lot of great times together ,especially Mary. I’m so sorry for your families loss, but be blessed in a way that she didn’t suffer a long agonizing end.
