From the bottom of my heart I will always be grateful to Nonnie for her hospitality to me when I first came to California. It was a joy to be with her.
She is among the angels in Heaven. What Joy.

Each of you know this special lady, Marie Di Tolla, as a friend, a mother, a grandmother or a great-grandmother. But I knew her thru the eyes of a son-in-law. 48 years ago, when I started dating Joanne, I realized early on what a special Mother she was as she would immediately wash and iron a special outfit for anyone of the children, or fix them a meal from scratch even though it wasn’t meal time. I had to fix my own meals and if I wanted to wear something I had to wash it and iron it myself. I thought boy she really spoils these kids, but quickly I realized she did it out of unselfish love and concern for their lives. After we got married and Marynn became her first grandchild I again was impressed at what a wonderful Nonnie she was. Then Eddie came along as her 2nd grandchild and she doted on him equally as much. She would come over and either bring a meal, invite us all over or just come over to cook at our house. And as the years passed my love and admiration for this wonderful lady continued to grow. I am sure you will agree with me that each of us as been blessed to have this special person in our lives and she will go on thru her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We will all miss her very much. Good bye Nonnie, I love you.
