Obituary

Marie Claire Casper passed away the evening of March 11, 2017 at her home in Laguna Woods, California. She was born August 12, 1939 in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania to her parents Andrew J. and Helen Doraski. She grew up and resided in Lorain, Ohio before moving to California. Marie took a lot of pride in her work as a Sales Representative to the retail food business. She loved decorating and updating her home furnishings. You could count on Marie for baking special Christmas cookies. She was always up to the minute on what was going on politically. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and staying in touch with all of her family. Marie was a quiet natured, very caring person and always very good to all her family who loved her dearly, and will be deeply missed by all.

Marie is survived by her husband of 58 years John A. Casper; a son John Casper and wife Judith of San Francisco, CA; a daughter Susan Garred and husband Mark of San Clemente, CA; a granddaughter Jennifer Garred and grandson Ryan Garred; a sister Joan Teli of Charlotte, NC; a sister Peggy Zehel and husband Ron of Palm Springs, CA; and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Mike Uyking for the excellent care he provided. Marie is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Kenneth Doraski and a sister Dorothy Moldovan.

I had the privilege of meeting Marie a couple of years ago. John and I met for breakfast in Oceanside and she joined us. I knew she was a special woman/Mom the minute I met her. She was beautiful with such a kind and caring smile, so easy to talk to and she had such a lovely grace about her. I could tell what a great relationship she had with John.
She reminded me of my own Mom who I lost in 2013. You and your family will miss her terribly forever but please remember how blessed you were to have an “angel Mom” like I was. May your memories bring you comfort in this time of such sadness.
    Love
