Obituary
Maria “Lola” Olmos Mendez
September 14, 1937 – November 11, 2023
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of Maria “Lola” Olmos Mendez, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. She graduated to heaven on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the age of 86.
A vigil will be held at O’Connor Chapel, 25301 Alicia Pkway, Laguna Hills from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
She loved flowers and they will be accepted at her vigil.
Lola was born on September 14, 1937 in the small town of El Tarengo in Jalisco, Mexico. She was a compassionate but tough. She was loving but straight to the point. For those you knew her… Lola was Lola !
Her heart was kind, loving and huge. At a young age she lost her mother and had a tough time overcoming the loss. Later she married Luis Mendez and they had their only daughter, Teresa Razo. Unfortunately, her husband passed in 1985 when Teresa was only 10 years. She never remarried and dedicated her life overcoming many life struggles and never gave up to make sure Teresa had everything she needed. Throughout her life there were many ups and downs but always moving forward!
She enjoyed flowers, music, cards, bingo and watching television. She also enjoyed gardening and planting roses. Her greatest joy was having family and friends around. Her biggest blessing in life was spending time and seeing her grandkids grow. Her grandkids are Luis, Emiliano, Juan Eduardo, Elizabeth, Chuyin, Jorge Luis and Ariana !
She leaves behind many memories and lessons. Her memory will be forever treasured by her family and friends. Our hearts ache as all her family and friends navigate this profound loss, finding solace in the countless memories we all shared and the unconditional love we all received.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all those who have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time.
