Maria Luisa Acuna passed away February 20, 2008 from Alzheimer's. She was born on July 17, 1917 in Santa Rosalia, Baja California, Mexico. She was the youngest of eight children and the last surviving sibling. She immigrated to the Los Angeles area as a young child, married Manuel S. Acuna and had two children. She was instrumental in guiding her children to successful lives and careers in education and business. She is survived by her children Alma and Manuel, daughter-in-law Barbara, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
