Margherite Lenore
Ciarocchi
February 11, 1916 – July 10, 2009
Margherite Lenore Ciarocchi was born in Salt Lake City on February 11, 1916, to Alfonso Scarcelli and Carmela Ruga Scarcelli joining 3 brothers Leo, Gus, Sam, and a sister, Teresa. The family soon moved to Los Angeles where Margherite graduated from LA High School in 1934. She married Geno Ciarocchi on February 2, 1936. They raised their daughters, Palma and Linda, in the LA area, and then retired to Laguna Niguel in 1995 where both daughters currently reside.
Margherite is survived by her daughters, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Along with Margherite's bookkeeping career, she enjoyed mystery novels and painting. Her oil paintings were so extraordinary that she was invited to exhibit at Descanso Gardens in La Canada; she also excelled in Chinese Brush and Water Color. The Claremont Adult School honored Margherite by choosing her to design a cover for their 1991 Spring brochure. She continued to attend the Laguna Niguel Senior Citizens' Art Classes until March, 2008. Margherite had a unique magnetism; she was a Mother for whomever she encountered. Margherite died on Friday, July 10, 2009.
