Obituary

Margaret Garcia, longtime resident of Lake Forest passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 9:33pm PST on Tuesday May 11th, (2021). She is survived by her husband Salvador Garcia of nearly 60 years, her 3 children, Cyndie, Mike and Joe. She has “9” grandchildren and “2” Great-grandchildren

Margaret, or Maggie as she was known by many close friends and family, enjoyed many seasons in her life, and favored many things. Among her favorites were traveling with Dad and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

She loved music and mom went a lot of concerts in her 78 years. She would light up talking of her trips to Laughlin with her sisters and to see her favorite singer Smokey Robinson.

She, perhaps, was best known in the community as the babysitter to dozens of families for over 30 years spanning generations.

Mom always tried to make our home the place where you wanted to be. So many people crossed the threshold of her home on Fortune Drive and the many wind chimes which adorn her home, are a steadfast reminder of the love and life that was our mom, friend and wife. You are loved and you will be missed.

So very sorry to just hear about Margaret’s passing. She was a great lady and a great neighbor. She was always fun to talk to and had a fantastic personality. She watched both of our kids who are now adults. RIP
