IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marcelle Myra
Bailey
March 3, 1925 – March 21, 2016
Marcelle M. Bailey, born March 3, 1925 in Irma, Alberta, Canada, world traveler, nurturer and yodeler extraordinaire, passed peacefully the first day of spring, March 21, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves in her memory numerous funny stories, many of which found her in a pickle of some sorts, yet always managing to gracefully exit one only to move on to another. She had a knack of learning the smallest of details from complete strangers, striking up life-long friendships while in line at the grocery store, to one of her many travel adventures. She was the epitome of love, compassion, tolerance, grace and kindness, and part fireball all wrapped up in one cute little package, placed on this earth for so many to love, learn from and cherish.
She leaves behind her children: Marc Bailey, Stephen Bailey, David Bailey and Michelle Sowle, son-in-law Greg Sowle; daughters-in-law Rebecca Bailey and Sally Bailey; grandchildren Kelsey Elmore, Kaylin Bailey and David Bailey; brother Victor Carter; and many relatives in her homeland she so loved of Alberta, Canada – fondly referred to by all as Auntie Babe.
We can only imagine the joyous reunion held when she passed into Heaven, joining her mum, brother and sisters and friends previously lost. In the wise words of her granddaughter-in-crime..go get 'em, Tiger.
