Obituary

We are deeply saddened to announce the demise of our beloved mother, Mrs. Kamalamma Nair on August 9, 2019, in Laguna Hills, California. Wife of late Major V. T Nair, she is survived by her daughter Anitha, son Arun, and their families. A loving wife, an amazing mother, a caring mother-in-law and a dedicated teacher, she left an indelible impression with her kindness and selflessness.

A Presidential Teaching Award recipient, she was an inspiration to her students, and helped shape the lives and careers of many.

We will miss her dearly but she will continue to live in the hearts of those she loved and cherished.

  4. I was shell shocked to know about the sad demise of Mrs.Kamalamma Nair, close to the heels of her husband Maj VT Nair.Mrs. Nair was a brilliant, dedicated and a sincere teacher.Always ready to accept any responsibility.Loved and respected by one and all.I happened to be the Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya,Minambakkam, where Mrs.Nair was teaching. She used to take care of the school lawn and maintain it spick and span. The flower beds were planted with roses, crotons, jasmines and sunflowers. This beautiful lawn was a signature landmark of K.V.Minambakkam.I have no doubt this lawn will be shedding tears today. We offer our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Anitha,Arun and all their family members.May the departed soul of Mrs.Kamalamma Nair rest in eternal peace.
