Obituary

While the vital statistics of any one’s life are important, I guess, it’s certainly not enough to describe the life of our dearest Lynne.

When she moved to Inglewood as a freshman in high school, she was in culture shock, being a girl from Nebraska thrown into the sun and fun of California. Some would have been afraid, but not Lynne. She soon knew everyone and thrived in her new surroundings. This would be a theme for the rest of her life.

She accumulated friends and never let them go. She made lifelong friends when she worked for Dr. Marano, more like sisters, and still in communication some 60 years later. Her friends from GTE, where she worked for most of her adult life, were often mentioned with hilarious office stories and those of past clients. She frequently had lunch with dear coworkers and she always came away smiling and happy to be with them. That was our Lynne, always happy, always seeing the bright side of life, always looking for her next adventure, trying out a new restaurant, experiencing a new place to travel, just loving her people and enjoying life.

Her greatest joy, of course, were Chris, Don, and granddaughter Sara. There wasn’t a time when talking with Lynne, that she wouldn’t mention her boys and their families. She loved being the mother of boys and would get great joy in remembering their antics as teenagers.

And of course there was David, the love of her life. She missed him so much these past 20 years and I’m sure it makes us all smile that they are reunited.

Thank you Lynne for memories of great meals prepared with love, laughter and wonderful times and stories that will live forever. Rest In Peace, until we meet again.  ðŸ˜˜
