Lynn K. Imus
October 3, 1941 – October 7, 2015

Lynn Kirby Imus passed away from pancreatic cancer on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at his home in Laguna Hills, CA at the age of 74. Lynn was born in Omaha, NE on October 3, 1941. He attended Dearborn High School in Dearborn, MI, where he met his future wife and mother of his children.

After High School, Lynn attended and graduated from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Upon graduating, he joined the Army, where he attained the rank of First Lieutenant. After serving in Germany for two years, he was honorably discharged and returned to Western Michigan University to achieve a Master’s in Business Administration.

Lynn had a passion for Marketing and he worked in the Automotive Industry for nearly 40 years. During his career, he worked for Chrysler Motor Corp., American Motors, Nissan Motor Corp. and R.L. Polk & Co. in California and Michigan. In retirement, Lynn was a dedicated volunteer for Mission Hospital of Mission Viejo and the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center.

Lynn is survived by his children, Ron Imus and Julie Romero; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Imus and son-in-law, Luis Romero; his four grandchildren: Sydney Imus, Kendall Imus, Christian Romero and Mya Romero; his nieces, Valerie Imus and Sheila Potter; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Merlyn D. Imus, his mother, Jean S. Imus, and his brother Roger M. Imus.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 4:00pm at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Laguna Woods, CA. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to The Lustgarten Foundation to fund research on pancreatic cancer at www.lustgarten.org.
