Lucille A. Ewald, 82 died May 24, 2004 at 9:40PM in Carlsbad, CA

Lucille Alice Henneman Anderson Ewald was born March 6, 1922 in Bloomer, Wisconsin. Lucille was owner/manager of Fevig Insurance Agency Moorhead, Minnesota. She was the first woman President of Trinity Lutheran Church Moorhead ? one of the nation’s largest Lutheran congregations.

In 1970, she married Carl Ewald and moved to California in 1981.

Lucille is survived by her husband, Carl of Mission Viejo; daughter Trudy Conard and husband Joe of Carlsbad and Joe’s daughter, Jennifer; step-son Charles Ewald and his wife Diana of Riffle, Colorado and grandson James Ewald and wife Tracy of Casper, Wyoming; step-daughter Carol Domina and husband David of Omaha, Nebraska; grandson Brian Jorde of Detroit, Michigan; sister Ione Nichols and husband Gordon of San Juan Capistrano, CA; sister Donna Gress and husband Fred of Ashville, North Carolina; sister Sharon Van Valkenburg and husband Jack of Bloomer, Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Anderson; son, Todd Anderson; and grandson, Paul Jorde.

Lucille enjoyed Toastmasters, Soroptomists, golf, shuffleboard and organ playing.

    I know you remember Lucille and what a wonderful lady and Mother she truly was! I am so happy that she was my mother and that I had the opportunity to know what a great lady she was. I love my mother Lucille and I will miss her every day for the rest of my life. It gives me great comfort to know she is now in Heaven as a member of God and Jesus’ family!

    Lucille was a wonderful mother-in-law. She was always such a thoughtful, loving lady. I will remember Lucille always for her giving, pleasant nature, and her quiet contributions to the family gatherings. She will rest peacefully in Heaven.

    I remember Lucille as a sweet, cheerful and very kind lady. It was so nice to have her and Carl join our family gatherings after her daughter Trudy married my brother Joe. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know Lucille. My thoughts and prayers are with her, may she rest in peace.
