Lorraine “Lorry” Lozo, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in Henderson, Nevada.

Lorry was born on October 1, 1933, in Windsor, VT.  She met the love of her life, Lonnie Lozo, at Windsor High School and they were married in 1953 shortly after they both enlisted in the Navy. They both served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 through 1957 and then settled in Tolland, CT, where they raised their children. Lorry was admired by all the neighborhood friends and kids. She even drove the school bus for many years in Tolland prior to her administrative job at the Mansfield Training School.  Lorry and Lonnie relocated to Huntington Beach, CA, in 1982 to be near family and be away from the cold New England winters. Lorry worked in property management prior to her career at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. She was also a super-Aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She was a true Vermonter and passed her love of the state to her children. In her later years, Lorry most enjoyed her time with Lonnie, her kids and granddaughter. She also loved to knit and would spend hours making warm hats for the homeless in the wintertime.

Lorry was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lawrence “Lonnie” Lozo, parents Levi and Josephine Noel from Windsor, VT, sisters Pauline Noel from Claremont, NH, Marie “Fern” Noel from Laguna Woods, CA, brothers Raymond “Frenchy” Noel and Rene “Butch” Noel both of Windsor, VT, and her beloved grand-dogs Sophie and Louie.

Lorry is survived by her children Larry Lozo from Orange, CA, Lindy Mitchell from Henderson, NV, Christopher Mitchell from Henderson, NV, Suzi Vallas from Ft. Meyers, FL, granddaughter Jessica Lozo from Phoenix, AZ, sister Claudette “Jo” Noel from Ft. Meyers, FL, sister in-law Linda Benton, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved grand-dogs Abby and Pablo.

Lorry and Lonnie will be laid to rest together on December 15, 2022, at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA.
