Obituary
Mrs. Lorraine E. Patterson nee Richards passed away quietly on November 1st with her son Mark Patterson at her side.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Floyd “Pat” Patterson; her two married children Lisa Foster, Cambridge, England, and her husband Mark Foley, their son Emile, and her son Mark Patterson and his wife Josette Patterson, Huntington Beach and his children, Andrea, and Ryan. She will be missed by all.
A service to celebrate her life was held in Laguna Hills on November 7th and she will be buried at Miramar National Cemetery on November 9 at 2pm.

When Lorraine and I were much younger we worked for John M. Kent, an attorney in Anaheim. I was his young associate and Lorraine was our Secretary. As you all know, Lorraine was a hard worker and one of the most competent people I have ever known. But she also was fun and we did a lot of laughing and I admit the laughter was at times at our clients’ expense.
I remember one time she came into my office with her finger to her mouth to keep me from saying anything. She closed the door and whispered that there was a lady wanting to see me (no appointment) but she was quite confused as it appeared the lady had a couple of days growth on her face. This lady with her two day growth turned out to be a very generous and lovely lady and most of the time after that visit she came in clean shaven. Yes, her actual DNA was female.
