Obituary

LORRAINE A. HENRY

With great sadness, the family of Lorraine Ann Henry announce that she died peacefully at home on Dec. 31, 2020 after a valiant 2 1/2 year battle. Lorraine is survived by her husband, Willie Sadler; her brother, Jerry Henry and his wife, Shirley and her sister, Paula Henry and her husband, Don Sigler. Lorraine was a full time Professor at Orange Coast College, Radiology Program prior to her retirement. However she continued to tutor students at Orange Coast College through 2019. She devoted her life to her students to insure that they would become competent and caring health care professionals in the field of Radiology.  Lorraine and Willie traveled the world together and they were always planning the next trip. Lorraine’s passing has left a hole in our hearts. She will be greatly missed by her family and so many friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the scholarship established in Lorraine Henry’s name, Excellence in Medical Imaging” at Orange Coast College Radiology Program, Scholarship office 2701 Fairview Rd Costa Mesa 92626. Interment will be at El Toro Memorial Park, Lake Forest. Please contact the family if you would like to attend viewing or burial as attendance is limited.

  1. Meet Lorraine and Willie some 30 years back and I truly treasure their friend ship and warmth. Lorraine was genuinely all about love and connection and generosity. She was a great mentor to my son Aakash when he was trying to figure out which college to go to.

  2. There’s nothing better to do in life than to help others…to teach them. You dedicated your life to doing just that. You will be known as someone who made a difference in many peoples lives. Thank you Lorraine for all of it. The tough love, the way you say Target (Tarjey), to partying with us. I’ll always remember your phrase Keep your Eye on the prize..in a way it helped me get through those two years. You will be missed. Big Hugs!!
