November 14, 1925- May 30, 2009

Lorenzo Pandes, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009, at eighty-three years of age.

Lorenzo was born on November 14, 1925 in Nabua, Camarines Sur, Philippines, to Sabino and Victoriana Pandes.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy for twenty-one years. His service included assignment on the U.S.S. England during the Korean War, a tour in Vietnam, as well as assignment in San Diego, California. After retiring from the service, he continued working at Honeywell and TRW until the age of fifty-nine. After that time, he enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife. Their travels included trips to Germany, Spain, Texas, and Florida to enjoy visits with grandchildren. Israel, Italy and an Alaskan cruise were other jaunts Lorenzo enjoyed with his wife while socializing with close friends and relatives.

Lorenzo is survived by Irene Dichoso Pandes, his wife of fifty nine years; seven children: Benjamin, with his wife Janet; George, with his wife Asuncion; Mercy, with her husband Ed; Priscilla, with her husband Steve; Lawrence, with his wife Belinda; daughters Virgie and Susan; fifteen grandchildren; two great grandsons; his brothers Cecilio, Rodrigo, and Ruben; and his sisters Secoro Guazon, and Avelina P. Magalona. Lorenzo was also preceded in death by his sister Angela Belleza, his brother Floro Pandes, and grandson Jack Wolpin.
