Obituary

Linda Perez, beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully at her home in Mission Viejo on March 6, 2026 with her husband, Ruben by her sid e .

Born on June 9, 1959, in Ohio, Linda's family moved to Orange County, California, when she was just two months old, and she would remain in Orange County for the rest of her life .

To celebrate Linda's high school graduation, her parents gifted her with a European Highlights tour with Globus Family of Products. This experience ignited her passion for travel, leading her to become an international travel director. For 38 years, she dedicated herself to Globus Family of Brands, creating unforgettable travel experiences for thousands of adventurers around the world. It was during one of these tours in Argentina that Linda met the love of her life, Ruben Perez. They married in 1999 and shared a fierce love, becoming a force for good in the travel industry. Together, they explored over 75 countries, while Linda herself visited more than 90. Linda and Ruben cherished their time together and when not traveling they found simple joy and laughter at home in the company of their guinea pigs.

Linda had a remarkable ability to make others feel heard, understood, and valued. She generously shared her time, attention, love, and wisdom. A lifelong learner and overcomer, Linda faced her early departure with courage, grace, and peace.

Her profound capacity for love encompassed her family, friends, and professional colleagues. She was known for her spirit of excellence, often going out of her way to ensure that those around her felt supported and appreciated. Many admired her dedication and unwavering commitment. Linda ' s infectious enthusiasm for life and travel left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Whether she was planning a new itinerary or sharing a quiet moment with a friend, Linda's presence was a source of comfort and inspiration. Her legacy of kindness and adventure will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Around 2010, Linda experienced a spiritual renaissance, drawing inspiration from Psalm 23. She drew strength from The Great Shepherd and because of her belief in God, was forever changed. The overflow of this impacted many, including her church family in Mission Viejo.  She was active in many areas including children's ministry and she served as the Missions Prayer Coordinator. She had a true heart for those less fortunate and always wanted to serve, and she did so beautifully.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband Ruben Perez, dear sister Diane Peters, brother-in -law Jeff Peters of Tucson, AZ and nephews Justin and Brandon, and many other people she treated as her favorite.

Linda's memory will undoubtedly be a blessing to many.
