IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Susan
Laituri
June 1, 1949 – October 7, 2025
Linda Susan Laituri, 76, passed away peacefully on the evening of October 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 1, 1949, in Lynwood, California. Linda was the heart and soul of her family, known for her generous love and infectious laughter.
A dedicated wife, mother of five, and grandmother of six, Linda's greatest joy came from nurturing her family. Linda's cooking was a comfort and her Taco Scramble was legendary (it could bring her children home from any distance). She also delighted in creating homemade jam or baked treats for her loved ones every holiday season. When she wasn't cooking, she created cherished homemade quilts for her family and friends, as she was an extraordinarily talented seamstress.
Linda was also an active participant in both charity and religious communities. She was a member of the Santiago de Compostela Catholic parish in Lake Forest, California. Having been one herself, Linda cared deeply for supporting young mothers and spent years as an active volunteer for various charitable groups that catered to them and their families.
Linda is survived by her husband of 32 years, Bernie Laituri. She is also survived by her children: Ron Garnett, Lannice Barrett, Heather Yeagley, and Jesse Laituri, as well as 6 grandchildren: Brittany, Jeslyn, Shelby, Hayley, Caila, and Tyler. She is preceded in death by her brothers Mike and Craig Doughty, and her daughter Renee Garnett.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 10am on Friday, October 31 at Santiago de Compostela in Lake Forest. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to CancerCare.org in Linda's memory.
