My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time.

I have fond memories of the vacation our families took together at Ranch Roy-L in 1968. I remember Les’ fun loving nature that made the entire trip more enjoyable.

To this day, I’m sure that it was Les’ idea to tell everyone that he and my dad caught all those dozens of fish that someone had given them. They sounded pretty sincere that they had hooked them all, and didn’t confess the truth until later that night after repeated prodding by the kids. Dinner was quite a feast.

That was my first experience with a “fish story” and they had me convinced, hook, line, and sinker.

My family joins in the condolences from St. Louis, where Les Howard and his family touched so many lives. The time and miles apart never lessened the warm affection and high regard which Les left behind.

  5. We want to send our deepest condolences to your family. The times that we spent with all of you when we lived in California are memories that we treasure. Dan and I will never forget coming to your house for Thanksgiving and listening to the wonderful toasts from Les year after year. Words can’t express how wonderful it was to spend time with you when I was so far away from Mom and Dad. We will be thinking about all of you during this difficult time. We wish we could be there. Love to all of you!
    Dan and Cathy Daugherty
