Obituary
Leo J. Westover age 82, passed away on February 25, 2021.
He was the husband of Yvonne Westover. They shared 58 years together.
Born in SLC, Utah, he was the son of Leo Taylor Westover and Lucille Macklin Westover.
He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English and French and went on to get a Masters.
He spent 30 years in computer software programing in Quality Assurance Systems Management in the Aerospace industry.
He was also a professor of English at BYU and Saddleback College.
He received an honorable discharge after serving many years in the Army Reserves.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, served his mission in France and was a long time beloved director of the choir.
His passion was dancing and music. He had a love for writing and literature.
His interests were all kinds of exercise and sports including jogging and calisthenics.
He enjoyed time in nature and was a true outdoorsman.
He will be remembered for his kindness, humor and his devotion to his faith and family.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Westover, six children, twenty grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and his sister, Marilyn Westover Galbraith.
The Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 6th at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Located at 22851 Aliso Creek Rd. in Aliso Viejo, California. He will be buried with a graveside service beside his loving parents the following Saturday March 13th at 11:00 am. in the American Fork Cemetery, located at 26 W. 600 N Street in American Fork, Utah.
