Leland Phelps passed away November 11, 2013 at the age of 52, in the presence of his family as a result of severe injuries suffered in a traffic accident. Leland was born February 14, 1961 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and grew up in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. Following a term of service in the Navy, Lee settled in Southern California and began a career as a car salesman-a career that brought him great fulfillment. Lee spent time at various dealerships throughout Southern California, most recently as a well-loved and highly successful salesman for South Bay Mercedes Benz.

Lee was recently married this past July to his beloved Ivonne Bravo Phelps and was joyously happy as husband to Ivy and father to Ivy's three children, Anthony, Sky and London, who he loved dearly.

Lee was preceded in death by his father, Edson Herbert Phelps, and is survived by his mother, Marjorie Schmidt Phelps, his sisters, Linda Morales and Lisa Davis Flores, nephew Stanton Kane Morales, and nieces Stephanie Davis and Megan Davis.

A service to celebrate Lee's life will be held Saturday, November 23 at 11 AM at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in San Juan Capistrano (31641 La Novia Avenue, San Juan Capistrano). The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lee's life may be sent to provide a Phelps Family College Fund.
