Leda C. McKinley, 89, of Laguna Woods, CA passed away on February 27, 2017 from natural causes. She was born June 23, 1927 in Boise, Idaho to Arthur and Ida Christensen. The family moved to Salinas, California, where Leda met and married Jack Williamson; they had one daughter, Karen. Leda remarried and had a son, Gary Alan Loe Freimuth, on April 24, 1960.

Leda and family moved to Hurricane, Utah where she was a homemaker. The family then relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where Leda worked at the Las Vegas Airport, Desert Springs Hospital, and Circus Circus Hotel.

She moved to Southern California to be closer to her daughter in 1998 and resided in Laguna Woods until her death.

Leda enjoyed visiting with her neighbors and phone conversation with family in Northern California and friends in Las Vegas. She loved fashion and decorating her home and was known for always being well “put together”. She liked a good laugh and she and her daughter enjoyed reminiscing about earlier days. Leda loved dogs and was a supporter of several animal charities.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Christensen; sister, Mildred Seever; son, Gary Alan Loe Freimuth; and grandson, Anthony Pappes. Leda is survived by her daughter, Karen (Leo) Rothove of Yorba Linda; nephew, Steve (Penny) Murray; niece, Arliss (Kim) Mundy and their children, Suzanne (Jim) Bellabuon and Craig Mundy.
