I don’t know if anyone will ever read this, as it is 7 years tomorrow since his passing. I have long wondered what happened to my 8th grade teacher at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Reseda, California in 1971. Maybe it was his first or second year teaching? He would have been still in his twenties.

Mr. Klinkhammer brought guitar masses and lots of singing to our school, He was completely organized, and a superb teacher. He headed Student Council I think. He brought school spirit to a new level. We all respected him and listened to everything he said.

One day, a student, Tim O’Hern, fell asleep at his desk an hour before the end of the day. Mr. Klinkhammer had us all quietly clean up our desks, and leave the classroom. We turned off the lights and cleaned the chalkboards, and then waited outside taking turns looking in the small door window. Finally he awoke and was freaked out that had been left. We all came back in and he was so relieved.
He was a kind, kind, man and I will never forget him.

    Anne Rezzo-Rosen.
