  2. From the Louisiana Girl,
This morning as I reflect on the past four days it occurs to me that your mom was some sort of super hero. To raise 8 children and to have all of you love her dearly and to respect the life she gave to each of you is an incredible feat. It was my honor to be there and share in Laverne’s life. Everyone that I meet at the service had a special story about your mom that was unique to them. She will be greatly missed. I love all of you.

    To Grandma,
I feel like this is the only way I can talk to you
I was driving back to Hammond today from Baton Rouge and every time I would make that drive I would call you and grandpa because it was about an hour drive so it gave me enough time to talk to both of you. When I picked up the phone to call this time there was no answer and even though in the back of my head I knew there wouldn’t be I wanted so badly just to hear your voice pick up the phone. It’s been almost a month and I haven’t stopped missing you. I make sure that I walk past the Pottle Music building at school because I remember that when you came to visit you told me that was your favorite part of your time at SLU. I ate lunch in front of it the other day and it made me smile for the first time all month because I felt like I was sitting next to you.
I love you and I miss you so much.

P.s. I’m getting that 3.0 for you this semester.
