Clark, LaVerne Pearl (Capel) of San Clemente, CA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March, 28, 2012. Born in Council Bluffs, IA, May, 21, 1927, she graduated from the University of Iowa, where she met her future husband, Robert 'Dutch' Clark. They were married in 1955 in Los Angeles and moved in 1961 from Monrovia to Anaheim, where they raised their five children.

LaVerne moved to San Clemente in 1998 as a widow and retired teacher and enjoyed playing bridge, volunteering, and participating in League of Women Voters, AAUW, and the Democratic Club.

She is survived by her five children, Paul (Nan) Clark, Sara Clark, Ann Horn, Susan (Keith) Dean, and Tom (Theresa) Clark, ten grandchildren, Silas (Kristenia) Clark, Autumn (Joshua) Gary, Krista (Russ) Hellem, Eli, Amanda and Emma Horn, Hannah and Evan Dean, Jayne and Eve Clark, and five great-grandchildren, Zaire Clark, Tula and Moses Gary, and Alden and Ezra Hellem.

A Celebration of LaVerne's Life will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012, 6:00pm, at Capo Beach Calvary, 25975 Domingo Ave, Capistrano Beach, CA 92624.

Donations may be given "In Memory of LaVerne Clark" to the Orange County Rescue Mission, One Hope Drive, Tustin, CA 92782.
