Laura Esperanza Silva

Laura Esperanza Silva passed away peacefully on August 16, 2022 in Cerritos, California dearly loved and surrounded by her loving family.

A selfless wife, mother and grandmother she nurtured her family and always provided a warm hearth to lean on during happy moments, and was there to hurt alongside her family with compassion during less cheerful challenges.

She admired the beauty of nature and could spend hours on walks picking flowers to collect seeds which would soon be sprinkled in her garden. She would examine a stone or a shell for its shape and color, scoop up fallen leaves, curiously observe the life of an ant and sing along with her friendly little birds that often visited her happy oasis. Green thumb extraordinaire, everything would take root, new growth suddenly would appear with or without intention and soon she would have a healthy crop of tomatoes or flowers to adorn her garden.

She will be missed by all those that were touched by her gracious and inviting smile.

Laura is survived by her adoring husband of 62+ years, Fausto E. Silva, and her children Liz (Stephan), Fausto (Tami) and Robert (Diane); grandchildren Trevor, Clifton, Danielle (Zach) ,Sebastian and Ayden; great-grandchildren Oliver, Liliana; siblings Marco, Mary and extended family.
