Obituary

Larry Leach
October 20, 1940 – November 26, 2024

Larry Leach passed away very peacefully on November 26, 2024 at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 20, 1940, Larry grew up during an era of natural materials and analog processes, a foundation that shaped his life as he successfully embraced the digital age. He was raised in Downey, California by his mother, Edna, and his grandparents after the loss of his father, Marvin, in 1954. His upbringing instilled in him qualities of independence, boldness, discipline, integrity, and courage, which defined his character throughout his life.

A man of diverse talents, Larry was both a devoted intellectual and a craftsman at heart. He pursued higher education and became an accomplished engineer, excelling in aerospace and missile defense systems. Later, in the 1990s, he combined his passion for the manly arts—hunting and shooting—with his entrepreneurial spirit. He and his wife ran a successful business which integrated his hobbies into sales of gun and tactical equipment.

Larry's life was defined by his faith. At the age of 14, he was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully in the church, using his priesthood to bless and guide his family.

A devoted patriot, Larry cherished the values of the constitution and America's founding principles. He loved deep discussions, sharing his knowledge and engaging in spirited debate on topics he was passionate about.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Sherry, eight children—Warren Leach, Erin Hayes, Marna Price, Phil Majors, Pam Sardom, Sandy Sanchez, Steve Majors, and Chuck Gunn—as well as 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. His legacy of strength, integrity, and devotion lives on in the lives of his family and all who knew him. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and sympathy during this time of loss.
