I have very fond memories of Lakshman with whom I had a close association during the formative years of his career as a Computer Programmer in BSES. We worked together in many projects and I found his enthusiasm very infectious. He had a very brilliant and analytical mind and was very quick to find solution to any difficult problem. His penchant for minute details and the ability to perform difficult tasks stood out. His ready wit and smile along with his affable nature made him innumerable friends. He had great respect and regard for his seniors and used to always address me “Sir”. I liked his beautiful hand writing and used to entrust him with manual documentation job. Reading comics and books were his hobbies. He loved Asterix and Tin Tin comics and I remember to have borrowed a few from him. I still have a book of Federick Forsythe gifted to me by him.
To think that the young Lakshman, whom I knew, is no more, is very painful and sad to me. My heart goes out to Poonam who has suffered this irreparable loss. I can only pray to God to give her sufficient courage and fortitude to bear this huge loss and somehow fill the vacuum created by this tragedy.

To live in the hearts you leave behind is not to Die.
    Good-bye my friend. RIP.

My association with Lakshman dates back to early 80s . He was my colleague in erstwhile BSES in Mumbai, India . He was really very hard wordking, intelligent during his initial days of career & above all he was a good hearted , family loving person .
