Obituary

I WON’T LET YOU DOWN…Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever — Hebrews 13:8
There will come a time when you need to let go of someone or something. Perhaps it will be a friend who has turned her back on you, or someone you love who has passed away. Or perhaps it will be your own desire to be in charge of your life. Letting go means trusting that you will be okay without that person or thing in your life. How can you let go? You have to trust Me — more than you trust what you are trying to let go of. Trust Me more than friends and family, more than stuff, and more than yourself. How is that possible? Because I am the same yesterday, today, and forever. I don’t get sick. I don’t move away. I don’t get too busy or distracted. And I don’t let you down — ever.
Jesus Calling for Kids – March 24, 2012

Dearest Friends & Family,

It has been four days since we lost the most amazing daughter, sister, friend, wife and mother God ever created. The empty feeling I have which is shared by all of you is overwhelming yet indescribable at the same time. Blake and I are doing as well as can be expected based on the circumstances. We both have good moments and bad, but have spent most of the past few days remembering our favorite mom moments – to say there have been many is an understatement. He is very sad mom is gone, but happy to know she is finally pain free and dancing with Jesus. He helps to remind me that God did not do this to Kym. He did not give Kym cancer. He did not make Kym suffer. But He did heal her. He healed her pain, her suffering, and endless worrying that she was leaving behind her two favorite boys. We have been praying for complete healing and the ultimate miracle for three years. And although the miracle did not happen as we had desired or envisioned, there was no shortage of miracles we witnessed during her journey. Friends who did not know Jesus have found Him, families are closer, marriages are stronger, friends are friendlier and wounded relationships are healing. Kym is smiling down on all of us knowing how far we all have come.

Please join us as we remember and celebrate Kym’s life with family and friends on:

MONDAY, MAY 7, 2012 @ 12:00pm
Mariners Church
5001 Newport Coast Drive, Irvine, CA 92603

Immediately following the service we invite you to stay at Mariners Church for a reception and time of remembrance. The family will take part in a private gravesite gathering and will rejoin you after to continue reminiscing and spend time in community.

Starting Tuesday, you can find service information and a memorial page for Kym through the O’Connor Mortuary website at https://www.oconnormortuary.com/obituaries/Kymberly-Andrews/. If the link does not work, please go to https://www.oconnormortuary.com/ and search for Kymberly Gail Andrews on the memorial page.

Thank you again for your continued support and love for my family. I appreciate it more than I can put into words.

Chris

Jeremiah 29:11, ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’

Dear Family and Friends,

On behalf of the family I would like to thank you all for the overwhelming support of love and prayers for Chris and Blake. So many of you have generously offered help in the way of financial provision. Because there has been such a large outpouring of suggestions for financial support, we have set up a Memorial Fund in memory of Kym, to help get Chris and Blake thru this very difficult time. If you would like to contribute to this fund, in lieu of flowers, there are two ways to do so:

1. You can visit any Well Fargo Bank Nationwide and make a contribution by having them look up the Kym Andrews Memorial Fund to deposit your check

2. Or feel free to mail a check directly to me at:
Megan Crane
55 Paseo Vespertino
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688

Please make checks payable to the Kym Andrews Memorial Fund.

Should you desire to send flowers, you can have them sent to the following address beginning Monday morning:
Mariners Church Worship Building 1
5001 Newport Coast Drive
Irvine, CA 92603

Thank you ALL so much for your continued support of Chris and Blake and the family members involved as they transition to a life with Kym in Heaven with our God.

With much love and appreciation,
Megan Crane

  2. Our family was so lucky to know Kym through our son, Kyle, who has played hockey with Blake for almost 3 years. Kym’s fight had began almost from the beginning of when we met her. She was such a strong, loving, sweet person. Life is so unfair at times, but we are comforted to know that she is with Jesus now and her pain is gone. She will be missed immensely by so many people. We will miss seeing her smile around the ice rink. We will continue to lift Blake and Chris and their family up in prayer.

  4. Kym was and still is such an impact for our Rooted group! We have all been touched tremendously by her lovingly honest heart. She will truly be missed but will live on forever through our Life Group and each of us individually. What a woman Kym was!
