  1. Was shocked to read of Kon’s passing in the Grapevine, the very publication for which Monelle wrote so well for so many years!
I had Kon in 5th Grade @ Eastern Elementary School, coached him in Jr. High track & field and later knew him as he attended my youth group @ Meridian St. Christian Church when I youth ministered there in the 70’s. Good memories! He was one fun-loving guy!
Always the hustling athlete, I know he pursued life with zest and held the bar high for himself and those around him. Please know you are in our prayers as these days ensue.
    God’s richest you-ward.
    Paul & Kimberly Nicholson

  2. Dear Ann, Ben and Alex,
Yesterday, I was informed of Kon’s passing, still is so unbelieveable to me, and I can’t begin to imagine your grief at this time. I am so thankful to have met your wonderful husband, father at LBUMC. What I appreciated so much about Kon is that he was thoughtful and friendly and when he saw me at church would come over and say “hi” and ask about my boys, always expressing kind and caring words–I will forever remember this kindness.
With sympathy and special memories of Kon, your friend in Christ,
    Betty Jo
