  1. Kent Wright, “Don’t fall in love with her until i say you can”.
I vowed to myself I would not! At the pre-purchase exam Sweetie was being lunged for Dr. Wright’s observation and evaluation. VERY seriously he said, “I like her”. These were the most powerful words in my life, uttered by the Veterinarian I considered to be the Master. My spouse, Perry Jacobson, and I then had 11 years of Sweetie determining our life. It was perfection.
    Thank you Dr. Kent Wright.

  2. I met Kent in 1997 and I am so proud and lucky to have called him my friend. When I think of Kent what is indelible in my mind is his quick wit, love of a joke, love of food, poker, black jack , horses, and TV shows( Survivor amongst his favorites). I loved our survivor nights together when we would switch houses to watch the show, make bets on the winner, and eat really good homemade dinners. Kent loved to cook and we sure loved his puttenesca, lemon chicken, and banana chocolate crepes. Kent was so loving and compassionate and he was a worrier to a fault. Always checking in on Kelly to make sure she was ok. I will never forget the compassion and love he gave me upon hearing my Dad was sick. He was so supportive when I lost my parents and sister. He loved my kids and always took time to talk to them separately when we had our family, friends gatherings. He was the animal whisperer as my cat Lucy could not get enough of him when he was over. Up until the very end when Parkinson’s overtook his body, he tried to make others at ease and crack a joke or two. Parkinson’s would not take his soul. I will forever miss his beautiful smile, and infectious laugh. Our potluck group is forever fractured without our Doc, but we are so much better as a whole that Kent was part of it. Rest in peace Kent, you lived a beautiful life and left quite the legacy. All my love, Jackie
