  1. Ken was a great recruiter…a true professional. But much more than that he was a family man. Always talking about his wife and children. He would light up when he spoke of them and when others would speak of their family. I will miss him. God’s blessings.

Uncle Ken was an amazing man, one of the best. I have so many fond memories of him when I was a child. He was always so caring, loving, and fun to be around. He had the most contagious laugh. He was a wonderful father & husband, he loved his family. He has been taken too soon, and it is really not fair. He will be missed by many. I love you Uncle Ken.

  4. We were so sorry to learn that Ken lost his battle with cancer. It is such a horrific disease. My heart goes out to you both, Tina and Alec. Ken was a wonderful husband, father and friend. The most compassionate man I know. He alway’s made us laugh. Gave us both ears. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Ken will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

  5. “Growing Up With Bertoks”
I remember when I was little always asking during family gatherings if Uncle Ken and Uncle Chuck were going to be “there”. It was never any “fun” if the boys were not around. From the microwaving of poor Miss Piggy, to the scraping and repainting of Grandpa’s Garage, or even Friday Card Nights, our lives were full of laughs and fun times. One memory of Uncle Ken that I will forever remember is when the Raiders made it to the Super Bowl. We were all invited to Aunt Carol’s house and of course Uncle Ken would be there. As the game came on, Uncle Ken had his “yellow” penalty towel, whistle, and moved his chair right in front of the television. I guess he needed to have the best seat in the house. Another memory I hold dear was captured on my wedding video where my mother asked my father if he planned on “leaving” the church. It’s so funny to see Uncle Ken’s reaction and to hear that very unique laugh he had. Uncle Ken was very special to me, especially when I was younger, I enjoyed every moment we spent together from ballgames, family parties, and just regular visits. I will miss you and will forever carry you in my heart! I love you Uncle Ken….
