Obituary

In Loving Memory of Ken Cheung
May 30, 1955 – December 27, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ken Cheung, a beloved brother, uncle, and father figure, who left us on December 27, 2024, at the age of 69. Ken was known for his generosity, adventurous spirit, and unwavering kindness. His presence touched the lives of all who knew him.

Ken was a highly accomplished structural engineer, whose expertise and dedication shaped the projects he worked on, leaving a lasting legacy in the field. Outside of his professional success, Ken’s life was full of passions that brought joy to him and those around him. He loved exploring the open wind on leisurely bike rides, finding peace and calm in nature. His love for music led him to not only collect guitars but also enjoy playing them, often sharing his talent with friends and family. Additionally, Ken had a keen interest in stock trading, always exploring new opportunities and engaging with the market.

Above all, Ken was a generous soul, always thinking of others and striving to bring happiness to those around him. His selflessness and positive attitude will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.

Ken is survived by his family, who will forever cherish his memory, including his siblings, nieces and nephews, and many close friends. He was a father figure to many and will always be remembered for his wisdom, guidance, and the love he shared.

A memorial service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held on February 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at O’Connor’s Mortuary. The first hour will be reserved for family, with the final hour open to friends and loved ones. Following the service, there will be a graveside ceremony at 1:00 PM, which is open to all who wish to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to support the recent fire victims. Funds raised will be donated in Ken’s name to assist those affected by the disaster, reflecting his deep compassion for others in need.

Ken will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy of kindness, adventure, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew him.
