Kathleen Marie Ellison was born on June 17, 1942 in Long Beach, California, one of four sisters. As a young woman, she married Robert Branson Yost. Robert and Kathleen had five children together, one son Michael and four daughters Cynthia, Michelle, Kimberly and Brenda.

In 1995, after the death of her beloved husband Robert in 1985, she married Leward Richard, who she precedes in death.

Her nickname, ‘Sugar,’ was so fitting as it describes the sweetness of her love for her family and her special love for animals, especially her beloved dog Abby.

Kathleen joined her first husband Robert, her sister Lee, and her granddaughter Brittany in death on March 2, 2014. She is survived by all 5 of her children and her sisters Eleanor Stait and Judi Wade, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
