Kathy grew up in Southern California as the youngest of three children. She loved her older brother, Steve, and her older sister, Barbara, and had an idyllic childhood surrounded by her 14 cousins and a close-knit extended family.

She later found the love of her life and made a home in Mission Viejo with her best friend and husband, Norm. Together they helped raise Sean, Christie, Genevieve, and Nicole. But in her later years, her nine grandchildren became the absolute center of her world. Nothing brought her more joy than making them happy.

Kathy was a devout Catholic and deeply valued her family history and ancestry and knowing where she came from. She spent her life surrounded by the things she loved most: her family, Laguna Beach, her animals, and a good Jack in the Box breakfast platter. She loved horses and all things Western and was always ready to dance. Her dogs were constant companions throughout her life.

Kathy brought sparkle and color wherever she went, and her personality was every bit as bold as the colors she wore.

And Kathy herself was anything but ordinary. She was a true spitfire who loved being the center of attention and never met a little gossip she didn’t enjoy. She was colorful, complicated, funny, strong-willed, and the kind of woman who could fill a room simply by walking into it.

Kathy lived her life in full color, and we believe she leaves a little of that color in everyone who knew and loved her.
