Katherine A. Hile
June 13, 1918 – February 22, 2016

Katherine A. Hile passed after a few years of suffering but a long and joyful life.

She was truly a pioneer in every way. She loved to travel, beginning with driving her mother across country when she graduated from high school in 1936. She had many friends and traveled the world with them.

To her family, who loved her dearly, she was known as "Baba." All of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews will miss her. She was the anchor in our family and we are all better people because we had Baba in our presence.

She was one of the early aviation pioneers and spent a long career at McDonnell Douglas. After retiring, she volunteered at St. Nicholas (the church she loved), the library and Meals On Wheels. She was always ready to help others.
