Obituary
Katherine G. Martinez, “Rosie the Riveter,” was born November 26, 1921 from the Gomez/Valero and Beyer/Donovan family. She is the last of her siblings, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. She had 34 nieces and nephews, four who predeceased her. She leaves behind six children, 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild. She is survived by her children, MaryAnn Ordonez, Rudolph Valadez, Ray Valadez, Yolanda Willis, Sylvia German, and Roseann Lemas.
She worked as a World War II female worker at an aircraft manufacturing plant assigned to do riveting and electrical wiring. Her friends knew her as “Katy the Riveter.” She will be remembered as always keeping her youth and staying in fashion.

Mom I can’t believe it will be 7 years this August 24th..I miss you more and more every year that goes by. They say it gets better as time goes by but who ever said that did not have you as their mother for I feel the pain and lost as if it were yesterday. I miss you so, your smile, your voice just your presence. Until we see each other again in God’s home give my Mickey a big kiss for me. Love you forever
