On February 12, 2024, Karen Ann Jantzen (Nee, Knaus) beloved wife of Edward R. Jantzen, died at her home in Dana Point, CA.
Karen was born in Cleveland, OH, and was raised in Euclid, OH, before moving to California in her early 20s. Karen was a graduate of University of California, Irvine where she earned her bachelor's degree and then the University of San Diego, for her law degree (J.D.)
Hired by the law firm of Ramsay, Johnson, and Klunder, Karen specialized in civil law and was eventually chosen to be a partner.
Karen enjoyed (loved!) gardening, cooking wonderful and delicious meals, and was a voracious reader.
Karen loved God, her family, her country, and her Slovenian heritage (and her family and friends.)
Karen is survived by her husband Ed, her brother Robert Knaus and his wife Barbara (Painesville, OH); her brother Dale Knaus and his wife Kelli (Painesville, OH); her sister Kathy Sanders (Euclid, OH); her aunt Fran Mavko (Marblehead, MA); her sister Diane Platt and her husband Shane (Sarasota, FL); and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy and donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Catholic Charities.
