Obituary
Karen Houston
November 10, 1961 – September 6, 2011
Karen’s journey here on Earth was much too short and not always the easiest, but she knew who she was and stuck true to her beliefs. Karen was a sweet and sensitive soul who kept her human circle very small and her love of animals large. Karen was the academic one in the family with multiple degrees and credentials, and always in possession of several library cards. Her most recent conquest was an on-line music class. She retired last May from a 20-year teaching career. She began teaching English as a second language to children and finished with teaching High School Spanish. She had plans for starting a new business but alas it was not to be…
She fought the good fight but must have grown weary because she passed away on September 6, 2011. Rest well now sweet sister, sweet daughter, sweet friend. I pray you are at peace in the palm of ‘His Hand.’ God Bless You!
Karen is survived by her mother, Mary; brothers, John and Matt; and sister Elene.
A Memorial Mass is scheduled for Saturday, October 1st at 9:00 am at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 24252 El Toro Rd, Laguna Woods, CA 92637.
