Obituary

Julie Anne Sanetra, born January 30th 1986 in Mission Viejo to Edward (d) and Anne Booth.  She grew up in Laguna Hills, attended Valencia Elementary School, La Paz Intermediate School, and Laguna Hills High School.  She played flute in the school orchestra and participated in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts Venture Crew. In high school she earned an IB Diploma and was a National Merit Scholar finalist.  She took various AP classes and studied Spanish at Saddleback College and therefore had enough college credits upon high school graduation to enter UC Berkely as a Junior.

She got a bachelor’s degree in Southeast Asian Studies with a particular interest in Indian culture.  She met her then husband, Nick, at UC Berkeley and continued living in Berkeley for several years working at the headquarters of a grocery company as a pricing analyst until they relocated to a home in Lake Forest.

She is survived by her mom, Anne, of Laguna Hills, brother Tom (Lucie) of Iowa, her brother Ian of Laguna Hills, and her Uncle Dennis of Rancho Palos Verdes.  She is predeceased by her father, Edward, and her sister Amanda.  She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.

She passed away in October in Costa Mesa.  There is no way to express how deeply the family and friends are grieving the loss.  Her Funeral Mass is on Saturday November 9th, at 9:30 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 24252 El Toro Road, Laguna Woods, 92637.
