Our beloved Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend Judith Lynn Russo born February 12, 1944 has left us on August 17, 2014. Her life has touched so many of us and we have been so blessed to be of a part in her journey here on earth. Judy was always a person her family and friends could count on, no matter what the situation.
Her wonderful sense of humor and tremendous passion for life touched everyone around her. Her bravery was inspiring, her laugh was infectious and her journey was a gift and a life lesson for us all. Our grief is soothed by the eternal peace she enjoys in heaven.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday August 22, 2014 at O’Connor Mortuary. All are welcome for the on-site reception immediately following the service.

I did not know Judy very well but as Mary Funk’s husband, I heard the accounts of her grace, style and genuine kindness to others. I did have the opportunity to meet Judy on several occassions, most socially but one to review her Long Term care policy. On each occassion it was evident that I was in the presence of a rare and unique individual. It didn’t matter that we were not close friends, her warm smile and thoughtful hugs when we did see each other told me that she cared. I can only imagine what this world would look like today if we all “put our Judy on”.From what I have heard and experianced, she spoke of caring for others, valuing relationships, and giving more than she received. Judy did all of this without speaking a word on these topics, she modeled it each and every day of her life. I truly regret that our relationship was not closer as it is clear that she was a truely remarkable person.
God bless Judy, you will be greatly missed but forever deeply loved by so many, including myself.

Judy was such a beautiful lady. I truly admired her for everything she accomplished in life. She had such class and was always very well ‘put together’ – from her hair to her shoes. She always had a smile and was very positive about her life even when we knew she was dealing with cancer.
Judy was the ultimate hostess at dinners at her house – the table was beautifully set, food was delicious, and guests were truly welcomed. She had a way of making others feel special.
Judy was someone to look up to – she was intelligent, hard working, classy, strong in her beliefs, and very caring about her family and friends. We will all miss her tremendously.
My condolences to all her family in the loss of one very special lady.

Judy; We will miss your laughter and smiles, your warmth and compassion, and our wonderful family times together. We are both amazed at the dignity and grace with which you handled the difficult years since your initial diagnosis. You were always beautiful, both inside and out, and by far the classiest lady we have ever known. You are gone now, but you will always live on in our hearts and memories.
