Juanita was born in Sioux City, Iowa on November 9, 1948, to Warren and Norma (Lucart) Plunkett. She resided in Sioux City until 1977 and then moved to Brownsville, Texas. Shortly after, she moved to Lake Forest, California in 1978 where she resided until her passing.
Juanita married Gary Golden on January 26, 1965 in Sioux City, Iowa. A loving wife and mother, she remained very close to her children and family throughout her life. Hard working and dedicated, she worked at Aalfs Manufacturing, Concrete Pipe Machinery, and Joe Morton Insurance in Sioux City before moving to California. She subsequently spent the next 35 years with Emerson as the Executive Assistant to several Emerson division presidents until her retirement in November of 2013.
Blessed with a caring, gracious and considerate spirit, Juanita always put the needs of others before her own. She always gave a listening ear, a kind word and a smile to all who knew her. Her rich sense of humor and her charitable manner of life will be forever cherished.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Gary Golden; daughter, Tiffany Golden; son, Aaron Golden; two sisters, Mary (Bary) Betsworth and Jean (Terry) Jensen; a brother Robert (Karolyn) Plunkett; two brother-in-laws, Richard (Jeri) Golden and Kenneth Gross; two sister-in-laws, Ramona (John) Tremmel and Rhonda (Gary) Shatto; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

I can barely speak, my thoughts are hard to put into words. All anyone can say is how much they dearly, dearly love Anita. She was just one of those people that could make you feel comfortable in awkward moments and laugh when you felt like crying. She had some great “one liners”. She pulled me out of the dumps more than once. Always seemed to know what I was thinking and encouraged me when I needed it most.

Gary,Tiff & Aaron: So Sorry for your loss. First met Nita when Deb & Tiff took us to Disneyland on a cold March day. She and I talked while the girls went on rides! We had a wonderful day. There many more days like that especially at Pala. She will be missed. Goodby Nita. Renee Patterson
