Joyce Carolyn Huestis was born in Prosser Washington on 7/13/25. She passed away on 4/18/15 at her home in North Tustin where she lived in for 43 years. In 2008 she was pre-deceased by her husband Ralph, a retired Navy Captain (dentist).

Joyce was a world traveler, award-winning quilter, both locally and nationally. She won many first place awards at the Orange County and Los Angeles County fairs. She was also an Ikebana expert, bridge master; and a wonderful mother, loving wife and stellar grandmother. She sewed intricately beautiful patterns in all of her hand crafted quilts, and created a warm, loving tapestry of life for her family.

In addition to being wonderful loving parents, Joyce and Ralph provided a wonderful life for their Cairn Terriers.

She will be very sorely missed by all whom she touched and made life better for. “Mom, we will miss you forever.”

Joyce is survived by her children: Teresa Mendelson and Harold Huestis, along with her grandchildren Serena Johnson, Eric Huestis and her great grandson Asher.

Memorial services will be private.
